Two new tablets from Acer on its way, a sequel to B1-720, as well as a combined tablet/phone.
This week, Acer has presented two new tablets with screen at 7 inches. Iconia One 7 (B1-730) is the sequel to Acer B1-720 which comes with roughly the same specifications, however, with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels instead of 1024 x 600.
The processor is now an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz as not just on Z2560 is faster but reportedly also is more energy efficient since the new device promises up to 7 hours of life against the previous 5.
Iconia One 7 comes with Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) but loves to be updated for KitKat shortly. The price in the United States and Canada will be in the region of 130 dollars (700.0-dollar) for an 8 GB version, it also comes in a 16 GB version.
Iconia Tab 7 is not only a tablet-pc, but also acts as a phone. It comes with the same resolution as the Iconia One 7 but has a 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU MediaTek instead of an Intel CPU. The battery life is given up to six hours.
Iconia Tab 7 does not support speeds higher than 3 g, 4 g is therefore not an option. On the other hand, sold the device with Android KitKat and a special surface treatment that should make it easier to see it free of fingerprints on the slippery surface.
All in all, draw a picture of a tablet in the cheaper probably directed mainly against emerging markets.Acer says that it comes to selected markets in Europe (it is unknown if Denmark is among) and will cost 149 euro (1110.0-dollar) for the 8 GB model, also here it can be found in a 16 GB version.
