Beauty Recipes: Ointments – Ointments Homemade

Ointments, unlike creams, are not moisturizers but serve as nourishing and healing products. With bee wax as a consistency and oil as an active ingredient carrier, they are relatively easy to manufacture, with the effect being all the more powerful.

Cleopatra already knew the secrets of a good ointment. She used medesium oil from the ingredients of oil, cinnamon and myrrh, as well as beehive, almond oil and wine. The ointment produced a super-delicate skin on the legs.

Lavender Ointment

Lavender is used for the production of perfumes, soap, skin and hair cream or as a bath additive .

Ingredients:100 ml of lavender oil extract in wheat germ oil and 15 g of bee wax.Instructions:Melt the beeswax in a fireproof container in a water bath at 70 degrees.Add the lavender oil and mix with the liquid wax.Once a uniform mass has been formed, remove the vessel from the water bath and stir the ointment smooth.Fill in a screwed glass, allow to cool and then close well.

Marigold Ointment with Propolis

Marigolds are used in ointments, cleansing milk, cream and as bathing oil and soaps. Ringelblumenjauche is also an effective plant protection product in the vegetable and herb garden. This ointment is suitable for acne, impure, greasy and inflammatory skin and relieves itching.

Ingredients: 100 ml marigold oil extract in wheat germ oil, 15 g of bee wax and 10 g of fine propolis powder.Instructions: Here also the bee wax melt in a fireproof container in the water bath at 70 degrees, then add the marigold oil and stir with the liquid wax.Once a uniform mass has been formed, remove the vessel from the water bath and stir the ointment smooth.Allow to cool to below 40 degrees and add the propolis powder.Stir again, leave to cool and fill.

Dandelion root ointment

The dandelion absorbs well in impure skin and is used as an additive in creams and lotions. The ointment is very good with impure mixed skin.

Ingredients: 100 ml dandelion root extract in wheat germ oil and 15 g beeswax.Instructions:For this ointment, the instructions apply as above.Melt the wax in the water bath, add the dandelion oil, smooth the mixture, fill and allow to cool and then close.
